The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has been confirmed with a 5.2-litre supercharged V8 that’ll make 760hp which makes it the most-powerful street-legal Ford ever.

Ford has confirmed today that its 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 will run a 5.2-litre V8 making more than 550kW and around 840Nm of torque making it not only the most-powerful street-legal Ford ever but also the most power- and torque-dense supercharged V8 on the planet.

According to Ford the Shelby GT500 will get to around 96km/h in just over three seconds and should be good for a quarter-mile run in less than 11 seconds. And to celebrate the announcement, Ford released a little video. See below.
