Toyota has said it will contact owners by mail “as soon as parts become available” and ask them “to present their vehicle to a Toyota Dealer”.
In the meantime, “If an owner detects a smell of fuel either inside or outside of the vehicle Toyota recommends to immediately stop driving the vehicle and contact their nearest Toyota Dealer for diagnosis and repair,” Toyota said in a statement.
