The all-new 2015 Honda Civic Type R has been spied testing near the Nurburgring in Germany, only days after Honda revealed its Paris-bound concept.

ACCORDING TO A report on WorldCarFans, photographers caught the prototype testing in Germany only days after Honda released official images and details of its Civic Type R concept to be shown at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

Information is thin on the ground and it’s almost impossible to say whether the vehicle photographed is wearing its camouflaged production-spec body or not. That said, it’s not quite as aggressive-looking as the concept but it still looks pretty mean.

What we do know, however, is that the 2015 Honda Civic Type R will get a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine promising 206kW and that it will, or so Honda says, “deliver unmatched performance compared to any other Type R car,” and that includes the supercar-killing NSX.

The all-new Civic Type R is expected to be revealed in full early in 2015.
