Tesla reveals a prototype robotic car charger that looks like a giant metal snake… both creepy and cool.

TESLA HAS BEEN dealing this week with news that hackers, ahem, researchers were able to, from inside a Model S, take control of the car. No problems for the part technology, part automaker, it simply invited the ‘researchers’ in for a cup of tea (which may or may not have happened) and asked to see how they did it. Then, Tesla immediately produced a patch and sent it out to all its cars to be automatically updated. Cool. And that, FCA, is how things like this should be handled…

But back to the car charger. Tesla hasn’t said anything about the robotic snake car charger (absolutely nothing), but back in January Elon Musk did say: [We’re] “working on a charger that, “automatically moves out from the wall & connects like a solid metal snake.” The video of the “solid metal snake” is a the top of the page.
