The refreshed 2016 Lexus LX 570 has been spied completely undisguised inside and out with images making their way onto websites around the world.
THE TOYOTA LANDCRUISER 200 Series-based 2016 Lexus LX 570 has been trading leaked shots over the past few weeks with its LC200 sibling. But these images leaked onto the internet are the most revealing of either vehicle.
Clearly the LX 570 borrows styling cues from the NX SUV and other new Lexus models, with the new-look spindle grille the biggest change. As per the LandCruiser 200, the LX 570’s tweaks consist of the front, back, wheels and interior with a larger touch screen infotainment screen taking pride of place.
A close-up of the spindle grille reveals a radar which means the LX 570 is likely to get the Safety System+ suite of safety aids, including pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, radar cruise control and automatic high beam.
The rumour mill suggests Lexus will fit an eight-speed automatic transmission, dumping the old model’s six-speed unit. The 5.7-litre V8 is expected to be carried over.
The refreshed LX 570 is expected to be revealed in the next few months.
