If you were Ken Block and you wanted to go snowboarding what would you take? Meet his Ford F-150 RaptorTRAX. [Watch the video]

KEN BLOCK. The snow. And a 2014 F-150 Ford RaptorTRAX. Yep, star of the Gymkhana videos headed out to Baldface Lodge in Nelson, British Columbia along with Monster Energy snowboarders, Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for ultimate “backcountry snowboarding expedition”.

“This project is something I’ve had in my head for a while now,” Ken Block said when he revealed the RaptorTRAX earlier this year. “I absolutely love my daily driver Ford Raptor, especially since I live out here in the mountains of Park City, so to build out this mountain assault vehicle with a Raptor as the base platform made total sense to me. It’s an absolute beast of a machine and I’m stoked with how it’s turned out.”

Starting out with a base Ford F-150 Raptor, Block had noted Ford-tuning house, SVC (Special Vehicle Concepts) add a Whipple supercharger to the stock 411hp 6.2-litre V8, there’s also a full roll cage and Recaro seats as well as the Mattracks for the treads at each corner. To add to its snowboarder appeal, the RaptorTRAX also gets snowboard racks, a roof basket, a rear-mounted winch, interior storage for “snacks and drinks”, an exterior stereo setup for “blasting music on-site” and plenty of exterior-mounted Rigid Industries lighting.
