Holden Launches New Z71 Colorado at MCG State of Origin Game
Holden has introduced the Colorado Z71, with more features and a $4000 price premium.
IN A MOVE TO capture part of the top-end ute market and compete against vehicles such as the Ranger Wildtrak, Holden have released a new trim specification for the Colorado. There are no mechanical changes, only add-on cosmetic styling with the exception of heated front seats.
Based on the 4×4 Crew Cab and arriving in July, the Z71’s exterior upgrades include 18-inch Arsenal Grey (gun metal) alloy wheels, sail plane and styled nudge bar, as well as a selection of black design highlights.
Inside, the Colorado Z71 adds heated front leather seats, to compliment an interior that has a rear view camera, acoustic package and Holden’s Mylink infotainment system with seven-inch colour touch screen.
Holden’s Executive Director – Sales, Peter Keley said Colorado Z71’s pedigree promised impressive performance whilst its updated looks and passenger comfort made it an accomplished day-to-day drive. “Drivers are increasingly using trucks to facilitate an active lifestyle, whether it’s surfing or snowboarding, and looking good is important to them,” said Mr. Keley.
The Colorado Z71 will be first seen at the second game of the Holden State of Origin Series at the MCG on 17 June, alongside the Holden Colorado virtual reality adventure ride.
Colorado Z71 goes on sale at the end of June and includes the following features:
• 18” Arsenal Grey Metallic alloy wheels (x5)

Scrolled right down to the cost. Made in Thailand and costs $57k?
Forget it.
$4000 for cosmetic tweaks sure seems a but steep.
What’s the problem with it being made in Thailand?
Should be cheaper if made in Thailand… We should not be getting ripped off.
