Citroen to debut SUV-style concept car at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, meet the C1 Urban Ride.

CITROEN SEEMS DETERMINED to leave its mark on the Paris Motor Show and last week revealed its fuel-efficient C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L as well as several DS concepts. Today it has revealed the C1 Urban Ride which is a cosmetic concept based on the Citroen C1 – two C1 Urban concepts will go on display, a hardtop version and a soft-top ‘Airscape’ version.

According to Citroen, the C1 Urban Ride, “illustrates the potential for personalising this city car with new go-anywhere looks. The lively, fun personality of New C1 is enhanced by SUV-inspired styling features to underline its character and strong nature”.

The C1 Urban Ride offers 15mm more ground clearance than the garden-variety C1, and a 10mm wider track. Bulging bumpers and a skid plate give the C1 Urban Ride that tiny-tot rough-roader look.
Interestingly, Citroen will give showgoers the opportunity to vote on this and other concepts on its stand, to say which one they’d like to see the company put into production.
