2015 Holden Commodore ClubSport R8 25th anniversary revealed
Holden Special Vehicles – Holden’s official performance partner has revealed its limited-edition 2015 Holden Commodore ClubSport R8 25th anniversary with 340kW and 570Nm.
ONLY 108 UNITS of the 2015 Holden Commodore ClubSport R8 25th anniversary will be built to commemorate the tuner’s 25 years of tweaking ClubSport’s in Australia. And HSV is celebrating with a bang, or rather a roar.
The ClubSport 25th anniversary gets a breathed-on 6.2-litre LS3 Gen IV Alloy V8 which pumps out 340kW and 570Nm, runs a new hi-flow exhaust system with x-pipe intermediate and Bi-Modal mufflers for extra growl. It can be had with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. It also features a limited-slip differential, AP Racing ventilated disks with forged four-piston calipers which you can see through the 20-inch, double five-spoke rims.
To put the grunt into perspective, though. The current Ford Falcon XR8‘s V8 thumps out 335kW and 570Nm of torque, gets all the performance gear from the old FPV GT-P R-Spec, and it list from just $52-grand. Is the HSV worth the extra coin?
The limited-edition ClubSport gets a body kit, new front and rear spoilers and an optional Phantom black roof. It also runs commemorative plates celebrating the anniversary.
This 25th anniversary model is priced the same as a regular ClubSport, meaning it lists from $73,290 (+ORC). But, be quick, only 108 of them will be built.
