Jaguar announces 2015 Jaguar Heritage Challenge

Jaguar and the Historic Sports Car Club have announced the launch of the 2015 Jaguar Heritage Challenge for pre-1966 Jaguar cars.

JAGUAR IS GOING RACING. The Leaping Cat brand has announced the 2015 Jaguar Heritage Challenge which is only open to pre-1966 Jaguar models.

The 2015 Jaguar Historic Challenge follows in the footsteps of the Jaguar E-type Challenge and will be administered by the Silverstone-based Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC). Details are thin on the ground, but Jaguar and the HSSC expect to run at least five races during 2015, with four to be run at UK circuits, as well as one European round.

Derek Weale, Jaguar Land Rover Heritage Business Director, said: “Jaguar has established a strong presence in renowned heritage car celebrations including the Mille Miglia and Goodwood Revival in recent times. A single-marque race series will be an exciting addition to our plans for next year, and I look forward to meeting privateer teams that want to race Jaguar heritage sports and saloon cars in 2015.”

The HSSC is expected to announce the confirmed dates, classes and race venues within the next few weeks.
