Holden announces limited-time 7-year warranty offer

Holden has announced a limited-time offer for all Holden product sold between now and 31 December 2017 of seven-years, 175,000 kilometres warranty.

HOLDEN IS HOPING to boost customer interest in its offerings with a limited-time offer of seven-years, 175,000km warranty on all product purchased between now and December 31 this year (2017).

“Usually car companies reduce prices towards the end of the year as part of a plate clearance,” said Holden’s Executive Director – Sales, Michael Filazzola.

“Holden already has exceptional prices right across the board. This 7-year warranty offer across Holden’s range provides further tangible value to customers. This offer will hopefully instill confidence in those considering purchasing a Holden, and highlights our ongoing commitment to customers.”

The limited-time offer will also include the Holden Equinox SUV which will go on-sale in Australia on December 1. And the current Holden Commodore is also included in this offer.

Question: Is this sort of limited-time offer enough to give Holden a sales boost, especially when brands like Kia and Hyundai, Honda and Skoda now offers permanent five-years or more unlimited kilometre warranties?

Wow what a commitment Holden is showing – not. Perhaps the last of the tax payers funds to Holden could only stretch to offer it for the few hundred cars it is likely to sell by years end?
This is a cheap stunt attempting to slow Holden’s free fall of sales & brand reputation.
