The all-new Ford Endura will go on-sale in Australia in December with prices starting at $44,990+ORC and running to $67,990+ORC.

Ford has announced specifications and pricing for the new Endura which will go on-sale here in December.

In announcing the release of Endura, Ford Australia and New Zealand President and CEO, Kay Hart, said: “Endura presents Australians with an SUV unlike anything we’ve offered before in terms of equipment, design and sophistication.

“It builds on our extensive SUV portfolio, which now spans from the urban- friendly EcoSport, family sized Escape and through to the off-road capable Everest.

“Endura sits in its own space as a premium offering that we’ve previously not offered.”

There will be three variants for buyers to choose, entry-level Trend, ST-Line and Titanium. No matter what variant you choose there’s only one engine on offer, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel making 140kW at 3500rpm and 400Nm at 2000-3000rpm. This is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can choose from 2WD or all-wheel drive across the three variants. Maximum braked towing is 2000kg with trailer sway control as standard. Riding on 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, Endura has a claimed combined fuel figure of 6.7L/100km.

Standard safety includes eight airbags incorporating a glovebox-door integrated front passenger knee airbag, as well as Roll-Stability Control and Post-Collision Braking and Evasive Steer Assist joins Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection as standard across the range, along with traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise control. Blind Spot Detection with Cross Traffic Alert and Enhanced Active Park Assist is standard on Titanium.

Cost options include 19-inch alloy wheels (Trend), a Panoramic glass sunroof with power-operated blind (Trend and ST-Line) and Enhanced Active Park Assist (ST-Line). Optional on both ST- Line and Titanium is a 12-speaker B&O Play audio system with 180-degree split view camera.

In terms of ownership, the Endura gets Ford’s standard five-year unlimited kilometre warranty as well as other elements from the Ford Service Benefits program which includes a Service Loan Car, Auto Club Membership (including Roadside Assistance) and sat-nav updates. Servicing costs are capped at $299 (including GST) for the first four years/60,000km (whichever occurs first) at Ford dealerships.
