Citroen C5 Aircross confirmed for Australia

The Citroen C5 Aircross has been confirmed for Australia with deliveries expected to begin in the second-half of next year (2019).

Following the global debut of the C5 Aircross at the Paris Motor Show, Citroen Australia boss Ben Farlow said: “The all-new C5 Aircross is a return to Citroen’s comfort credentials and, symbolically, arrives in time for the marque’s 100th anniversary.

“The all-new C5 Aircross will underpin Citroen’s line-up in its centenary year, bringing with it standout styling, unrivalled comfort and a new focus on SUVs for Citroen in Australia.

“Citroen has long been synonymous with comfort and the all-new C5 Aircross will see us return to this territory, supported by the rest of the Citroen range,” Mr Farlow added.
The C5 Aircross’s party trick is its clever interior, featuring three separate sliding, folding and inclining rear seats. With the seats pushed all the way to the back of the vehicle there’s 580 litres of storage but this grows to 720 litres when the sliding second row seats are pushed into their forward-most position.

Citroen says the C5 Aircross offers up to 20 driver assistance safety systems including

Autonomous Emergency Braking and Active Blind Spot Monitoring, as well as “leading connectivity technologies including wireless smartphone charging”. Beyond this, Citroen locally is remaining tight lipped on pricing and final specification which it will announce closer to the local launch.
