The 2019 Volvo S60 will arrive in Australia in August with prices starting at $54,990+ORCs.

Volvo Australia has released pricing and specifications for both its new S60 sedan and V60 wagon which will arrive here in August.

Making the announcement today, Nick Connor, Managing Director at Volvo Car Australia, said: “Sedan and wagon vehicles have always been popular with Australian car buyers, and with the addition of our S60 and V60 vehicles we intend to reinvigorate those body styles. Our sedan and wagon vehicles are regarded as the most stylish in the world, with both vehicles recently nominated for the 2019 World Car of the Year Awards.”

Volvo V60 T8 Test Drive in Luleå, Sweden

New Volvo S60 R-Design exterior

Both the S60 and V60 are built on Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture which is also underneath the XC60 and XC90. At launch the S60 and V60 will be available with a choice of two petrol-powered engines. The T5 and the T8 Twin Engine Plug-In Hybrid, the former delivers 187 kW and 350Nm of torque while the latter offers 311kW and 680Nm.

The Volvo S60 and V60 will be available in three variants – Momentum, Inscription and the sporty and dynamic R-Design (pictured).

As you would imagine, safety and driver assistance features are abundant on the S60 and V60 and include Volvo’s semi-autonomous Pilot Assist system, the latest generation of City Safety, Run-off Road protection and mitigation, Cross Traffic Alert with auto brake and the 360-degree camera.
