The 2019 Mistubishi ASX has been touched up with the all-wheel drive option dropped from the range, and updated safety features added depending on the variant.

The updated 2019 Mitsubishi ASX has been detailed and is on-sale across the country now. Pricing starts at $23,490+ORC but the big news is that there’s now no diesel engine or all-wheel drive on offer. The ASX is now exclusively offered as a front-wheel drive with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine mated to either a five-speed manual or CVT depending on the variant. More than this, there are now only three variants in the range, ES, LS and Exceed.

Mitsubishi is offering an active safety pack for the entry-level ES variant as a cost-option, it includes Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Change Assist (LCA) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), along with reversing sensors, dusk sensing headlamps and rain sensing wipers.

The LS offers push-button start forward collision mitigation and lane departure warning as standard active safety as well as automatic high beam.

ASX Exceed adds BSW, LCA and RCTA in addition to a panoramic glass roof with LED mood lighting, leather seat facings and heated front seats.
