The 2018 Jeep Compass has been awarded a five-star ANCAP rating… the compact SUV is on-sale now.

THE 2018 JEEP COMPASS achieved an overall score of 35.93 out of 37 to realise a five-star ANCAP rating. The Compass was tested locally by ANCAP.

James Goodwin, ANCAP Chief Executive Officer said, “In the frontal offset test which simulates a head-on crash with another car, good levels of head, neck and upper leg protection were provided by the Jeep Compass.”

“The Compass scored well in the side impact, pole and pedestrian protection tests with maximum ratings achieved for each,” continued Goodwin.

FCA Australia’s President and CEO, Steve Zanlunghi said, “At Jeep we are committed to safety and are pleased with ANCAP’s 5-star rating on Compass.

“We also acknowledge the need to continually evolve our safety and packaging offerings to ensure we are aligned with the highest industry standards. As such, we are pleased to advise that we are making Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Warning available across the entire Compass range.

“Safety is a critical priority for customers when choosing a vehicle and we are very pleased that the new Compass can provide owners this peace of mind.”
