The 2017 Suzuki Ignis and the refreshed SX-4 S-Cross have been revealed ahead of their global reveals at the Paris Motor Show in September.

SUZUKI HAS RELEASED four images showing the new 2017 Suzuki Ignis, “a compact crossover with stylishness and utility” and the refreshed SX-4 S-Cross SUV ahead of their global reveals at the Paris Motor Show next month.

The short statement reads: “Suzuki’s styling design heritage nurtured in a long history of compact car manufacturing has been passed down and some elements are brought to life in the Ignis. The minimal exterior design looks fresh but undoubtedly Suzuki, which makes the model purely iconic”.

Suzuki is keeping key details about both cars pretty close to its chest, but has suggested the new Ignis will run a mild hybrid system and will go on-sale in Europe in January next year. It’s unknown whether the new Ignis will come to Australia.

The refreshed SX-4 S-Cross, images of which were leaked after a French Suzuki dealer conference earlier this year, has been officially revealed. Suzuki said it gets a “revamped front exterior design and further refined interior quality for a stronger yet more sophisticated character of an SUV. The 1.0-litre and 1.4-litre BOOSTERJET direct-injection turbo engines replace the existing 1.6 petrol engine”. And that’s all it said…

There are rumours suggesting the refreshed SX-4 S-Cross will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive and that it’ll offer improved ground clearance over the current model, but don’t expect it to be a Jimny.
