The 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe will go on-sale in November with prices starting at $77,100+ORC.

THE 2017 MERCEDES-BENZ GLC Coupe will be priced from $77,100+ORC when it goes on-sale here in November (although order books are open now). The BMW X6 lookalike, according to Mercedes-Benz head of design, Gordon Wagener “…reflects our iconic Mercedes-Benz coupé design while symbolising the bipolarity of our brand – it is ‘hot and cool. With its design idiom of sensual purity, it perfectly embodies our styling philosophy while at the same time representing contemporary luxury.”

The GLC Coupe will be available, from launch, in three guises, the GLC 220 d the GLC 250 and the GLC 250 d. All models arrive with all-wheel drive and are equipped with 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission as standard. All variants get the AMG Line Bodystyling, 20-inch AMG Multi-spoke wheels, a Diamond grille, DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL sports suspension, an EASY-PACK power tailgate, GARMIN MAP PILOT navigation, a 360-degree camera, LED Intelligent Light System and Black-Ash open pore wood trim as standard.

The entry-level GLC 220 d runs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 125kW and 400Nm of torque. The GLC 250 produces 155kW and 350Nm, while the GLC 250 d’s 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine produces up to 150kW and 500Nm of torque. 

The new GLC Coupé arrives as standard with Dynamic Body Control sports suspension with steel springs and adjustable damping, and includes Dynamic Select with five transmission modes ECO, COMFORT, SPORT, SPORT+ and INDIVIDUAL. It can also be cost-optioned with air suspension. Benefits of this system, according to Mercedes-Benz, include reduced roll when cornering, automatic load sensing and lowering of the load compartment sill by four centimetres for more convenient loading and unloading.
