THE 2017 AUDI Q2 will go on-sale here in February 2017 with prices starting at $41,100+ORC. According to Audi, it “will be the most attainable Audi SUV ever”. Given the booming SUV market, Audi is hoping to woo younger buyers to the Audi brand.

The Q2 will also be available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel making 110kW and 340Nm of torque, and then a 2.0 TFSI engine with 140kW and 320Nm of torque. These latter two models will feature on-demand all-wheel drive. Unlike the Tiguan, all Q2 variant will run a seven-speed S tronic DSG.

The Audi Q2 will get standard features including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), MMI Navigation, Bluetooth and smartphone interface, voice control and parking system plus with rear view camera. The Q2 offers 405 litres of storage (or up to 1050 litres with the rear seats folded down).

2017 Audi Q2

“The all-new Audi Q2 urban SUV will appeal to a new range of young and young-at-heart buyers,” said Andrew Doyle, Managing Director at Audi Australia.

“This new model will exceed customer expectations of how an Audi should look, thanks to its progressive polygonal design language, and what it should offer, thanks to a suite of infotainment and connectivity technologies. We are very pleased to be launching this game-changing vehicle to Australia in such a competitive package.

“In every sense, our newest and most attainable SUV model is a true Audi. It is as sophisticated as our luxury class models, bringing new levels of technology, connectivity and luxury to the compact premium SUV segment.”
