THE 2016 MITSUBISHI Outlander PHEV will go on-sale in Japan from 9 July with sales around the world to follow. Mitsubishi Australia hasn’t said when we’ll see the refreshed Outlander PHEV Down Under, or whether we can expect a change to the price.

Featuring body, chassis and power train tweaks, along with front- and rear-end cosmetic enhancements, the 2016 Outlander PHEV which follows the recent launch of the non-hybrid Outlander, Mitsubishi says “changes to the 2016 Outlander PHEV are designed to deliver better hybrid fuel efficiency (down by 8%) and acceleration feel and throttle response, while cosmetic improvements – including design features unique to PHEV – give Mitsubishi’s flagship electric vehicle a more upmarket, high-grade appearance inside and out”.
