Holden has teased the release date for the last-ever Commodore, with the 2016 Holden Commodore VFII set to be revealed live online on 13 September.

CAR MAKERS THESE DAYS tend to dribble out information in the lead up to the release of a new model and let the press build the hype. Not Holden. Search its media database and you won’t find anything about the last-ever Commodore VFII, but check its public website and there’s a banner talking up the live online reveal next week.

Open to all punters to sign up and virtually attend the reveal, Holden is keeping other details about the car quiet for now. That said, if the darkened image does indeed show off the front end of the final Commodore then the major change is the larger size of the Lion badge in the grille and some slight tweaking of the snout.

Stay tuned to Practical Motoring as we’ll bring you whatever tidbit we discover in the lead-up to the official reveal next week.

  1. Sad to believe that our unique and long car manufacture is coming to a end 🙂

At the current exchange rate maybe they should have a rethink??
