Ford Everest BaseCamp revealed
Ford has thrown together a special ‘adventure’ accessories pack for its largest off-road SUV.
FORD HAS QUIETLY introduced a limited-edition Everest option pack into the lineup, the aptly-named Everest BaseCamp.
The pack consists of gear such as awnings, roof racks, and a snorkel, and can be fitted to any Everest model from the base-grade Ambiente to the top-grade Titanium, and either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive models with the 3.2- or 2.0-litre diesel turbo engines.
The BaseCamp joins the new Everest Sport which was also ushered into showrooms this month, though Ford tells us just 300 BaseCamp packs are available.
Included are a tow bar, nudge bar, bonnet protector, snorkel, light bar, roof racks with a large Pioneer platform and a Sunseeker awning.
Pricing for the BaseCamp pack is an additional $2000, a saving of around $4000 according to Ford which says the extras retail for $6000 if purchased separately.
Further to the included accessories are individual extras, such as ski, bike and kayak racks, bullbar and a larger Rhino-Rack awning.
The Everest BaseCamp pack is available from dealers now.
