Ford Endura (nee Edge) to arrive here in 2018
The Ford Endura, known as Edge in other markets, will arrive here in 2018 in five-seat trim with a diesel engine only.
FORD HAD ALREADY announced the Edge would come to Australia but that it would cop a different name, we now know that name is, Endura. It’ll arrive here in 2018 as a five-seater only with a diesel engine, whether that will limit appeal remains to be seen.
That said, the name Endura, Ford said, is drawn from Endurance which fits with the diesel engine fitment. Ford hasn’t released specifications or pricing, but it has said the vehicle will be highly equipped when it arrives.
In a statement, Ford Australia President and CEO, Graeme Whickman, said “The Endura reflects the dynamic motoring landscape in Australia, where buyers are now looking for more specific features and attributes in their SUVs as opposed to a one-size-fits-all solution.
“The appetite for SUVs in this country is impressive, so we’re excited to bring a premium new offering from our global portfolio to local audiences.”
This will tank.
Isn’t that a brand of condom?
