Hyundai and US tuner, Rockstar Performance Garage, have teased a nitrous-powered Santa Fe which will go on display at SEMA.
ROCKSTAR PERFORMANCE GARAGE has, once again, teamed up with Hyundai to tweak one of its products. This time it’s a Santa Fe which has been tuned as a fast off-roader.
“Rockstar conveys its endless brand energy in everything we do,” said Nick Ashby, lead developer of the Rockstar concept vehicle. “Our Rockstar Santa Fe Concept is simultaneously all-show and all-go, a non-compromising concept with tremendous capabilities and a confident demeanor to match.
The concept runs bigger brakes, a nitrous system on its 3.3-litre V6 engine (power and torque figures haven’t been revealed), new suspension, a body lift, rock sliders and Mickey Thompson 35-inch tyres, and much more.
Key modifications to the Rockstar Santa Fe Concept include:

I liked the new concept for the Holden Colorado, chunky orange, a proper 4WD with the looks, what did the buyers get, another same-o same-o Colorado Red, just like the one they replaced, boring as hell unlike the concept, it had the WOW factor.
Now Hyundai have teamed up with Rockstar, now if only we can get it in diesel, it will knock-out the Santa Fe and probably the rest of the SUV’s, but alas we can dream, because as night follows day, this is a one-off, if I win lotto, there’ll be two
I agree….you’d think the manufacturers would want a slice of the modified 4WD market and offer a model along the lines of the Colorado concept you are referring to….or at the very least the option of a lift kit and proper offroad tyres, as Foton are doing with the Tunland atm…..
I would like to see Hyundai and others follow Jeep’s lead and offer an equivalent to the various Trailhawk models….a bit of lift, some slightly bigger tyres and an improved 4WD system would be a welcome improvement on many SUVs….particularly those that were previously offered as proper 4WDs but have since gone soft….
