The Tokyo Motor Show is shaping up to be very interesting indeed with motorcycle maker, Yamaha, teasing its 4Wheeler sports car concept.

DETAILS ARE VIRTUALLY non-existent for the Yamaha 4Wheeler sports car concept, with just this solitary shadowy image revealed so far. All Yamaha has said is that it will show “an automobile” at the Tokyo Motor Show and that it will be “inspired by motorcycles” and called the 4Wheeler, although the name is still to be confirmed by Yamaha.

The rumour mill is starting to crank with suggestions that legendary McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray is behind the design of the thing.

This isn’t the first time Yamaha has shown a four-wheeled concept at the Tokyo show. Back in 2013 it showed off its Motiv concept which used Gordon Murray’s iStream car creation process is the foundation. At the time, he said a sports car could be spun off the platform. Stay tuned.
