Volkswagen announces Tiguan 162TSI Sportline and Golf R Grid Edition

Volkswagen Australia has announced it will offer two new Grid variants, with the Tiguan 162TSI Sportline and Golf R Grid launching at the end of the year.

VOLKSWAGEN AUSTRALIA has announced it will launch two new Grid variants by the end of the year, the Tiguan 162TSI and Golf R. Volkswagen said, “both the Tiguan 162TSI Sportline and Golf R Grid Edition bring their respective ranges to the most affordable price points ever.

“From $45,990+ORC the new addition to the Tiguan range slides in under the existing Highline, which starts at $48,490+ORC, but which is usually bought in fully optioned R-Line form for $56,490+ORC.”

The Tiguan 162TSI Sportline wears 20-inch Kapstadt alloy wheels and comes standard with adaptive chassis control, sport comfort seats finished in microfleece and cloth combination upholstery, and key driver assistance technologies such Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Side Assist and Traffic Jam Assist.

The Tiguan 162TSI Sportline arrives in December and can be ordered now.

Priced from $47,490+ORC for the manual hatchback, $49,990+ORC with DSG and $51,990+ORC for the Wagon (DSG only), the Grid Edition brings the R range to its lowest prices to date. The Golf R Grid Edition retains the 213kW/380Nm 2.0 litres turbo engine, 4MOTION and seven speed DSG of more expensive R variants. It is identified by ‘Race’ sports cloth and Alcantara combination upholstery, black door mirrors and roof rails for the Wagon.
