Owners of HiAce and RAV4 models are able to upgrade their vehicles now at their local Toyota dealership free of charge. Owners of the latest generation Camry, Corolla hatch and Prius can also upgrade their vehicles now, but at a cost of $199.
For new purchasers, all newly-built models of those vehicles will have CarPlay and Auto included in the price of the vehicle. If not, we’d suggest asking the dealer to ensure it is installed prior to delivery.

Toyota Australia is late to the party in offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its vehicles, with the connectivity technology already available for those models in overseas markets for some time already. Toyota Australia VP of sales and marketing, Sean Hanley said that the addition will enhance the driving experience for customers.
“By offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility in our vehicles, we are continuing to refine our market offerings and provide our customers with the products and services that enhance their lives.
“The technology will allow our customers to stay informed, entertained and in touch with the wider world from behind the wheel, directly through the vehicles’ upgraded multimedia systems.”
