Range Rover Evoque 2019 scores five-star Euro NCAP rating
The Range Rover Evoque 2019 has been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP rating ahead of its arrival in Australia in May.
The new Range Rover Evoque has been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP rating which is likely to translate into a five-star ANCAP rating given the alignment of the two agencies. The Evoque scored 94% for adult occupant protection which is the highest rating ever achieved by a Jaguar Land Rover product. It also scored 87% for child occupant protection.
Beyond its occupant protection, the fact the Evoque also offers Autonomous Emergency Braking; Lane Keep Assist; Front and Rear Parking Aids; and a Rear Camera as standard, helped it achieve the five-star rating. Active safety is a must now if car makers want their vehicles to be eligible for the top rating.
Finbar McFall, Global Product Marketing Director at Jaguar Land Rover, said: “The Range Rover Evoque is at home in the city and the country, so we added the latest technologies aimed at preventing accidents and a new vehicle architecture to protect occupants in the event of an incident. The result is another five-star performer from Land Rover.”
The suite of cost-optional advanced technologies on the new Range Rover Evoque extends to Land Rover’s ClearSight Rear View Mirror. This converts the rear view mirror into an HD video screen at the flick of a switch offering a wide 50-degree field of vision by displaying a rear-facing camera feed from the top of the car. The new Range Rover Evoque is available to order now, priced from $64,640+ORCs in Australia.
