THE ARRIVAL later this year of the new Suzuki Baleno will see Suzuki go toe-to-toe with Mazda3 and Hyundai i30 as well as others like Toyota Corolla. In a short statement, Suzuki said “With Baleno, Suzuki will appeal to traditional small segment customers along with current Swift owners looking to step up into a larger small hatch”.

We do know that Baleno will offer a 355 litre boot as well as Suzuki’s new BOOSTERJET turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The same unit running in the turbo Vitara. Suzuki said, Baleno will also include a seven-inch touchscreen display audio with navigation along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

  1. Too bad Suzuki the bar so pathetically low aiming for Corolla and the specs reveal this will also be another uber gutless Japanese car for the masses. How boring and derivative.
