Fiat has revealed a large SUV concept at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil, called the Fiat Concept Car (or FCC4).

FIAT HAS REVEALED its Fiat Concept Car (FCC4) at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil that if the Google translation of the press release is to be believed positions “itself immediately in a new universe”. And it’s hard not to agree.

Seemingly a mashing together of a ute and a compact SUV there’s no mistaking the FCC4 actually looks pretty good, especially from the front three-quarters. A big thing, the FCC4 measures 5000mm long, 1949mm wide, and stands 1600mm tall.

Fiat hasn’t said what’s under the bonnet, or whether the FCC4 hints at a future push by Fiat into the large SUV segment, although with potential access to the Jeep Grand Cherokee there’s a potential possibility…

While most concept cars are designed with a small glasshouse to create more visual impact on the motor show floor, Fiat says it was a deliberate attempt to create a feeling of strength, protection and privacy.

Beyond this, details are very thin on the ground. The FCC4 joined the Fiat 500 Abarth and Fiat Bravo Abarth, which make their debut in the South American market.
