Mitsubishi will send its all-paw terror, the Evo X, out with a bang when it shows the 353kW Lancer Evo X Final Concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January

THE MITSUBISHI Lancer Evolution X is on its last legs and will soon be dumped from the Japanese car maker’s lineup, but Mitsubishi is determined to send it out with a bang. Indian Autos Blog has chased down info on the last ever Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X ahead of its full reveal at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon in January (9-11).

Called the Final Concept, this will be the last ever Evolution X based Evo variant. Reportedly based on the top-spec GSR variant, the Final Concept has been poked and prodded on the inside and out. But it’s underneath the matt black skin that’s most interesting.

The Final Concept gets HKS height adjustable sport suspension, forged, lightweight aluminium wheels from RAYS which are wrapped in 19-inch Yokohama Advan Neovas. The Final Concept also benefits from an HKS turbocharger, new intake, exhaust, cooling system and a new ECU. This bumps power up to 353kW.

We’ll have more details once the Lancer Evo X Final Concept goes on-show at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
