The 2018 Skoda Karoq arrives Down Under in July and will be priced from $29,990+ORC for the manual and $32,290+ORC for the DSG variant.
THE SKODA KAROQ small SUV will arrive in Australia in July and be priced from $29,990+ORC for the six-speed manual variant and $32,290+ORC for the seven-speed DSG equipped variant. There will only be one model line offered initially with the two transmission options and a raft of cost-option packs.
Like you could in the Yeti, the Karoq offers buyers the opportunity, via its VarioFlex system, of removing the back seats entirely, or only one or two of them. The rear seats also slide forwards and backwards.
This allows the boot to grow from 479 litres with the rear seats pushed all the way back to 588 litres when they’re pushed forwards. Fold the seats down and you get 1605 litres of storage space. Remove them entirely and this grows to 1810 litres.
When the Karoq arrives it’ll only be available with one engine variant, a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol making 110kW from 5000rpm and 250Nm of torque from 1500rpm. A more-power version mated to an on-demand all-wheel drive system is planned for launch in 2019.
