The 2016 Toyota LandCruiser 200 has been spied again, this time in the metal, ahead of an expected reveal later in July.

JUDGING BY this spy picture, via Abdulrahman (the same person responsible for all the LandCruiser leaks so far) the leaked information and images about the 2016 LandCruiser 200 were correct. That said, looking at the pic the tweaks to the snout, and remember this is a refreshed model and not an all-new LandCruiser, seem to be softer in the metal than the other images might have suggested.

As some readers have already commented, the refreshed LandCruiser 200 looks to have a similar front grille to the new Ford Ranger and Everest, but it also follows Toyota’s current design language and you only have to look at the new HiLux and the LandCruiser’s front-end to see the familial similarity.

Beyond the new grille, the LandCruiser will get a new front bumper (rear too), driving lights and headlights. Engines are likely to be carried over from the current model and so that should give the refreshed 2016 LandCruiser an edge over the non-diesel Y62 Nissan Patrol and that’s despite that model’s recent price cut.

Toyota is remaining tight-lipped about the new LandCruiser, but rumour suggests it’ll be revealed in the full sometime this month. Stay tuned.
