Ford Australia has released a video showing its 2015 Ford Ranger being tested in the Simpson Desert.

FORD HAS released a video showing a camouflaged 2015 Ford Ranger being tested in Outback Australia. While we’ve already seen spy shots out of Thailand showing a production version of the Ranger Wildtrak, this is the first action video we’ve seen of the thing being tested.

The video shows the Ranger being driven through sand, shallow water crossings (puddles really) and across sandy tracks. While Ford’s teaser video doesn’t show the Ranger being properly torture tested, it does show that it’ll be more than up to the job of handling the sort of country most people would drive an unmodified Ranger across.
