Those 2012 and 2013 Land Rover Discovery 4 models fitted with a panoramic glass roof are being recalled due to the possibility they can detach from the roof.

LAND ROVER AUSTRALIA has issued a recall for those 2012 and 2013 Land Rover Discovery 4 models fitted with a glass panoramic roof because the primer used to bond the glass to the roof assembly might “not have been to the correct specification”.

VIN range of affected vehicles is SALLAAAF4CA642486 to SALLAAAG5CA647258. Land Rover said, “If the panoramic roof glass panel detaches from the vehicle, it may collide with other vehicles on the road or compel other road users to take evasive action. This could increase the risk of a vehicle crash”.

Land Rover has written to customers with vehicles affected by this recall “requesting them to contact their preferred Authorised Repairer as soon as possible to arrange for the rework action to be carried out at the earliest opportunity”.
