The updated Renault Koleos range now offers autonomous emergency braking and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, priced from $29,990 drive away.

THE RENAULT KOLEOS is now standard with both AEB and Apple CarPlay as the brand pushes to make its best-selling model even more appealing against newer and, previously, better equipped competitors.

Andrew Moore, Managing Director, Renault Australia said: “We are excited to be able to offer both AEB and Apple Carplay to our customers. The Renault Koleos is the best-selling model in our line-up with 739 vehicles having been sold as at the end of March.

“The standard feature list on the Koleos is already highly impressive and includes reversing camera, automatic transmission and 7-inch touch-screen. Our entry level Life specification is just $29,990 driveaway and now with AEB and Apple Carplay as standard, the Koleos is an even more compelling product offering for our customers.”

Like other systems, AEB in the Koleos offers a two-stage set-up; the first warns the driver of a potential collision risk while the second stage sees the brakes applied if the driver doesn’t respond to the first warning, or if the system doesn’t determine enough braking force has been applied by the driver.

Renault says the driver is always in control, able to accelerate and override the AEB or yank on the steering wheel to avoid a potential collision, overriding the AEB.
