All-new 2018 Skoda Karoq teased again…
The all-new 2018 Skoda Karoq has been teased again with the Czech car maker revealing a handful of images detailing key parts of the car.
THE ALL-NEW 2018 Skoda Karoq will be revealed in full next week (18 May) but the Czech car maker is keen to keep the hype bubbling away and has released key detail images and more information about the tiny-tot SUV.
In a statement, Skoda said: “The ŠKODA KAROQ has a striking character and features crystalline elements that demonstrate power and robustness as well as elegance. The larger dimensions significantly enhance the ride comfort for the occupants and add to the boot’s capacity”.
In its statement, Skoda said the Karoq would run LED head- and tail-lights, and the fog lights. The Karoq measures 4382mm long, 1841mm wide and 1605mm high. The wheelbase measures 2638mm (all-wheel drive version: 2630mm). It should be a roomy little thing, offering 521 litres of bootspace with the rear seats in place, or 1630 litres with them folded down. Buyers can cost-option Skoda’s VarioFlex rear seats (three separate seats), which can be slid fore and aft and removed entirely if needed. With the VarioFlex rear seats, boot space varies from 479L to 588L. Remove the seats and you get 1810 litres of boot space.
On the design of the interior, Skoda said: “The four large air vents sit vertically, and the middle two flank the in-car monitor. The LED ambient lighting is a further highlight in the generously sized interior. Ultra-slim lighting strips are located on the upper edge of the four door trims and continue around the dashboard. The driver can control the brightness of the illumination, which can be set to one of ten different colours”.
