The 2017 Skoda Kodiaq will arrive in local dealerships from late May with prices for the new seven-seat SUV starting at $42,990+ORC.
SKODA WILL TAKE its first step into a much larger world when its seven-seat Kodiaq SUV goes on-sale here from late May. Our overseas contributor, Paul Horrell has already driven the Kodiaq, saying “Under the skin the Kodiaq rolls on the platform of the VW Passat. That’s how it feels: assured, consistent and stable. It’s relaxing and trustworthy in its dynamics rather than exciting. The steering is well-damped and weighted, so the Kodiaq feels well-planted in the road”. Read his full review HERE.
When it launches here, the Skoda Kodiaq will initially be standard with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine making 132kW and 320Nm and will be mated to a seven-speed DSG. A 140kW turbocharged diesel engine joins the line-up later in the year.
The Kodiaq will come standard with Front Assist with City Emergency Brake, nine airbags, Passenger Protect Assist, fatigue detection, a tyre pressure monitoring system, fog lights with cornering function, electronically activated Child Safety Lock for the rear doors from the driver position and Multi-Collision Brake.
The Kodiaq will also offer typical Skoda practical touches like: Adaptive Cruise Control, Advanced Keyless Entry including smart start (KESSY), LED headlights with Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS), dual-zone Climatronic air condition, electric parking brake with Auto Hold function, automatic tailgate with electric opening and closing (height programmable), adjustable second row seating (Easy Entry Function), mechanical sun blinds for rear windows, foldable side mirrors, integrated LED torch in the luggage compartment, a net system in the luggage compartment (three nets) and two umbrellas in the front driver and passenger doors.
The Kodiaq will be offered with a number of add-on packs, including:
