Oops, 2017 Maserati Levante leaked online
Images of the 2017 Maserati Levante have leaked online ahead of its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
SPY SHOTS OF THE 2017 Maserati Levante have been appearing online for the last couple of weeks, but now a Dutch automotive news site has published allegedly official images of the Levante ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. While the images are yet to be confirmed as the real deal, they certainly seem to be bang-on compared with the various mules that have been spied.
Along with the photos, there were some details about engines too. According to the information published on the Dutch site, which has now been circulated all across the internet, there will be three engines at launch, a diesel and a petrol engine in two states of tune.
Its believed the petrol variants will share the 3.0-litre V6 petrol that does service in both the Ghibli and Quatroporte and should be good for 0-100km/h from 5.2 seconds to 6.3 seconds depending on the state of tune. The diesel engine is believed to sprint to the legal limit in 6.9 seconds.
The interior image is only a tight profile shot, but you can clearly see the beautiful sports seats and the steering mounted paddle shifters for the automatic transmission.
The Maserati Levante is considered a key model for the brand to find volume growth in a world that’s going crossover crazy. It’ll compete with the likes of the Range Rover Sport, BMW X3 and X5 and Porsche Macan and Cayenne, etc. We’ll have more information once the covers are taken off it at the Geneva Motor Show.
ISIS LEVANT, LOL, what are they thinking???
