The limited edition 2015 Honda CR-V Series II DTi-L has been revealed with a new engine and nine-speed automatic transmission plus a raft of active safety features.

Honda has tipped its ‘Earth Dreams Technology’ 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine (118kW and 350Nm) into a limited number of 2015 Honda CR-V Series II DTi-L. Priced from $44,290 (+ORC), the limited-edition CR-V also gets a nine-speed automatic transmission and returns 5.9L/100km.

Also new for the CR-V Series II DTi-L is an electric tailgate which can be operated in one of four ways: via a button located on the lower-right side of the dash; via the key fob; and via two buttons located on the tailgate itself. It also features an auto closing function, which automatically latches the tailgate shut if it is closed manually.

“Not only does the CR-V Series II DTi-L receive this new powertrain, it features refreshed styling, upgraded specification and sharp pricing, making it an attractive proposition for our customers,” said Honda Australia Director Mr. Stephen Collins.

Outside, the Series II DTi-L Limited Edition gets a new front grille and headlights with “optical guide” LED daytime running lights, a new front bumper design including front fog lights, chrome door handles and new 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear features new taillights and bumper design.

Inside, it features leather-appointed trim with heated front seats, five inch Multi-Information Display, leather steering wheel with audio/Bluetooth/cruise/i-MID controls, dual-zone climate control, Honda’s Display Audio system with seven inch colour touch screen and Siri Eyes Free mode, one HDMI and two USB ports, in-built satellite navigation and a multi-angle rear view camera.
