LEGO Ideas is where brick builders go to show off what they’ve built in the hope Lego will commission the thing. And this Lego Porsche 917K is awesome.

BUILT BY GREGG998 this Lego Porsche 917K is, according to his description, a 1/8th scale replica of the Porsche 917K that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1970, driven by Helmut Marko and Gils Van Lennep. This Lego version features real steering, working suspension, technic flat 12 engine, removable engine cover, and a modular structure that allows you to build other versions of the 917 from this chassis.

There’s a set amount of time for these LEGO ideas to generate support and Gregg998 has been modifying his project to improve its accuracy to the real vehicle. So far the project has around 334 supporters and has 349 days to run, it needs at least 10,000 votes for LEGO to consider it.
