Volkswagen has revealed its Caravelle Generation Six, which pays homage to the original 1960s Kombi… no word on whether it’ll be available Down Under.

VOLKSWAGEN HAS revealed a special edition Caravelle Generation Six people mover which pays homage to the brands original Kombi. Given a red and white two-tone exterior, the Caravelle Generation Six also gets 18-inch DISC alloys as standard, a tweaked interior with limited-edition inserts and top of the range T6 Caravelle specification.

There’s still a cloud hanging over Volkswagen, if you’ll pardon the pun, and its diesel engine technology, but the T6 Caravelle gets Euro 6 engines with BlueMotion Technology in different states of tune, these are mated to a seven-speed DSG.

On the inside, the Caravelle Generation Six gets exclusive Alcantara / leather seats, with textile floor mats in “Moonrock and Titanium Black”. There’s a leather covered multi-function steering wheel, the new Discover Media infotainment / navigation system which also has DAB and Bluetooth as standard.

There’s also a step illumination with ‘Generation Six’ lettering, decorative trim and a decorative insert across the dashboard to match the two-tone exterior. The Generation Six offers three-zone climate control.

So, what do you think… will the Generation Six become an icon like the original?
