Based on the Mazda BT-50 GT, the Boss is now the new top-spec dual-cab 4×4 ute in Mazda’s line-up, and it’s on-sale now from $55,990 driveaway.

The Mazda BT-50 Boss takes over the top-spec spot from the BT-50 GT on which it’s based. The new addition to the line-up focuses on enhancing creature comforts, featuring a new sound system and sundry other cosmetic tweaks.

The BT-50 Boss gets a new eight-speaker surround sound system featuring Alpine’s all-new S-Series carbon fibre reinforced plastic component speakers for improved sound, according to Mazda.
On the outside, the BT-50 Boss is painted in Snowflake White Pearl Mica and fitted with contrasting all-black accessories. The chrome accents on the GT have been replaced with gloss black accents, from the grille and door handles, to the mirror caps, sports bar and side steps. There’s also a ‘Boss’ decal on the side of the thing.

In announcing the new variant, Mazda Australia Managing Director, Vinesh Bhindi, said “the new Boss grade amplifies the tough Ute’s looks and adds quality equipment to improve the ownership experience.

Adding the Boss grade to our line-up gives customers the option to purchase an already customised, accessory loaded Mazda BT-50 that will stand out from the crowd.”
