PEUGEOT AUSTRALIA has announced it is recalling around 1000 308 and 508s sold here between November 2014 and March 2017 due to a potential starter motor short circuit and fire risk.

According to Peugeot, “The starter motor 12V connection lug may be fitted incorrectly and may touch a metal component, causing a short circuit.

“If the starter motor lug does touch another metal component it may cause a short circuit and pose a fire hazard.
