Ssangyong will show a concept of its compact SUV at the Paris Motor Show, but patent sketches of the Ssangyong X100 have been leaked online.

SSANGYONG HAS ALREADY teased its compact SUV concepts XIV Adventure and XIV Air ahead of their global debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, but Indian Autos Blog has published patent sketches which it says leaked out of China. They give the best indication yet of what Ssangyong’s new compact SUV (codenamed X100) will look like.

As you can see, the sketches show everything from the registration plate holders, indicators, door handles and more. Planned to sit below the Korando, the X100 is intended to appeal to European buyers and the sloping roofline, in profile at least, is reminiscent of the Range Rover Evoque.

You can take a good look at the pictures yourself, but to our eyes the front-end definitely carries styling cues from the Actyon ute and there are hints of Korando at the back.

Details are pretty thin on the ground, but with this compact SUV planned to go on-sale in 2015 we’re expecting more information from the Paris Motor Show and an official reveal of the production version not too long after that.
