After months of hype, and not all of it good, the new Top Gear series, minus Jeremy Clarkson and Co, has been teased in a new trailer.

THE NEW TOP GEAR returns to TV in May, and the BBC overnight dropped the first trailer for the series which features an all-new cast, including US TV star, Matt LeBlanc, Chris Evans, Eddie Jordan, Chris Harris, Sabine Schmitz, Rory Reid and The Stig.

The world’s most popular motoring entertainment program hit a fork when its popular trio of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond decided not to continue. Well, Clarkson was booted after punching a producer in the face who failed to provide a hot meal after a long day of filming… and the other two followed him and formed a new company with a new motoring program commissioned by Amazon and set to launch later this year.

Anyway, there’s been plenty of hype about the new Top Gear and there’s a near cast of thousands (well, seven) to help create some difference from the old new Top Gear. But, as this 60-second trailer shows, it seems to be the same old Top Gear with exotic locations, daft races and the latest machinery being driven… and then there’s Matt LeBlanc driving a Reliant Robin (three-wheeler) from London to Blackpool.

Let us know what you think of the trailer – If YouTube commenters are to be believed there are more people who don’t like the trailer than those who do. See you in the comments.
