New Honda off-road racer to take on SCORE Baja 1000
Honda has teased the engine of its new Honda off-road racer which will take on the SCORE Baja 1000 in November.
THE LAST TIME Honda competed an off-road racer was back in 2012 when the HPD Desert Pilot (pictured) took part in the SCORE Baja 1000 in Class 6. Fitting then.
Honda isn’t saying much but has said the engine in its racer will be a built by Honda Performance Development, the racing arm of American Honda Motor Company, Inc. That engine will be a twin-turbocharged Honda HR35TT V6 engine mated to a Albins ST6 sequential transmission. Fox racing shocks, and rugged General Grabber tires will help it handle the tough terrain.
More information will be available in the days leading up to the Baja 1000 event in November.
