Mitsubishi brings added bling to the Triton under the name of an Aussie off-road racing legend.
MITSUBISHI HAS REVEALED a limited-edition Triton honouring brand ambassador and two-time Dakar Rally winner Toby Price.
Based on the MY20 Mitsubishi Triton GLS 4×4 dual cab ute ($46,990 plus on-road costs), the Triton Toby Price edition joins showrooms in limited numbers from $50,640.
Available in only three colours (Sunflare Orange, Graphic Grey and White Diamond), the model brings extra equipment such as a black sports bar, LED light bar, weather shield, bonnet protector, tub liner, soft tonneau cover, black decals, Toby Price stickers, rubber mats and cargo anchor points in the tray rated to hold up to 450kg each.
There are no hardware upgrades underneath to the suspension or drivetrain, the 2.4-litre turbo diesel upfront producing the same 133kW and 430Nm.
Standard equipment carrying over from the GLS includes fabric seats, 7.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry and start, parking sensors and reversing camera and safety assist systems such as AEB, lane change assist, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring. Mitsubishi also confirmed it will continue to offer a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty until December 31, 2019 on all new Triton models.
Only 500 Toby Price editions will be produced and each is individually numbered with a certificate to the owner. The Toby Price Edition Triton goes on sale today, October 1, 2019.
