Mercedes-Benz has revealed the Edition 1 X 350 d 4Matic which will go on-sale in Australia in July and sell from $87,500+ORCs. The limited-run ute follows the launch in December last year of the top-spec X350d. Mercedes-Benz hasn’t said how many vehicles will be offered but will release this info closer to its local release.

The Edition 1 will be offered in three different colours, kabara black, bering white or rock grey. But on the outside, the new bits will only be black, meaning a black centrally positioned star and twin-louvre radiator grill, front and rear bumper-bar valance, fog light surrounds, side door handles, rear tailgate handle, nomenclature badges, beltline trim strip, roof rails and 19-inch 6-twin-spoke alloy wheels.

The bonnet gets ‘sports’ stripes, side mirrors, V6 badge surrounds, lower side lines and rear tailgate too. There’s a black sports bar, a bed liner and hard tonneau cover matched to the body colour.

On the inside, you get floor mats with Edition 1 embroidery and a chrome Edition 1 badge on the passenger side dash. Standard leather heated seats are included, along with rear privacy glass and an electric rear windowpane. The Edition 1 is based on the X 350 d Power variant.
