Like its cousin, Hyundai, Kia will have a strong presence at SEMA next month with this heavily modified Pacwest Adventure Sorento leading the charge.

KIA HAS TEASED its headline act for its SEMA stand (beginning on November 3 in Las Vegas) where it says it will be celebrating the “American Road”. To that end, the Korean car maker has teased its Pacwest Adventure Sorento, “a tough, off-road utility vehicle equipped with custom suspension, snorkel intake system and a paint scheme inspired by the lush forests of the region,” it said in a one-sentence statement overnight.

Keeping the details under wraps, the most obvious changes are new tyres, a skid plate incorporating a winch and bull bar, LED light bars, a snorkel, roof racks and it’s clearly been given a lift.

Beyond the photo above, Kia has released a short 16-second teaser video, but it reveals nothing… it does show a few blokes welding, though. If you really want to see it, let us know and we’ll upload it to our YouTube channel.
